Modern rugby defences
Week 15
This week we continue the series on how to develop an effective
phase defensive system. This week we give our coaches a drill,
we call the
"In line double hit drill", which teach players how the
use the double hit or gang tackle to stop an attacker.
" In this drill coaches can work on their players'  "Double hit" techniques and
also practice the rip by one of the two tacklers to try and get a turnover ball.
Executing the  "Double hit"  is not natural for players and is a new technique
that must be practiced. "
