ABOUT COACH JAN
TRY OF THE WEEK
Week 6
MOVE OF THE WEEK
We look at the sometimes silly way referees
and touch judges interpreted some of the
rugby rules. We look at a ruck in the recent
Tri-nations match between South Africa and
Australia. Referee Paul Honiss from NZ was
the 31st man in the match  on 30/07/05.

"The average coach always tells his
players that the referee is always right. If
you do that your players can carry on with
their playing, without sulking over the ref.
But we coaches can look at the silly and
ridiculously they interpreted the rules." -
Jan Oberholzer
