This week we look at the short pass at the
ruck from a running
scrum-half to a forward
runner running in.

"   Many teams are now using variations of this short pass move to score when they have a ruck
near the oppositions try-line. The important part of the move is that the scrum-half breaks away
and draws the first defenders and then gives a short pass to a player running in with a straight
running line and who scores by using his momentum."   -

It is important that the to note that
the success of this new tendency is
that the scrum-half must first draw the
inside defenders on him and the he
gives the short pass.
