| The technique of Goal Kicking |
| The run-up: Body upright and eyes on the ball |
| The run-up: Look at the balance of the upper body. |

Important Tips for Aspiring Coaches
Do this 3 or 4 times after placing the ball and before kicking it. This visualisation is the most important element, along with positiveness, for successful goal kicking. • Need to set goal kicking tasks in a proactive consideration of the % of successful kicks they want in a game, e.g. 80% kicking rate in front, with those to the side as a bonus. • Look for potential kickers in players who have natural timing in their kicking. • Have your kickers warm up before a match with 3 or 4 kicks to the posts. Their focus is provided for in this way. |
