This week we show coaches an exercise that
teaches young players how
to effectively
places the ball in the contact situation.
"This is a brilliant development exercise to
teach a young player how to place the ball
in the contact situation. This exercise is
great because the coach can teach the
player one on one. "   -

    Note:
It is very important to teach young players to hold the ball tightly against the
body before contact and while  going down in contact. Many players develop
the bad habit to hold the ball loosely and away from their body, which result in
a spilled (lost) ball in contact and usually a turnover ball.
The correct basic technique on placing the ball in contact
    Note:
Coaches must teach young players to shout out the count so that they can
get the sequence of placing correctly, till it become second nature to them.
