This week we look at the bad handling skills of
Juan Smith, Springbok and Cheetahs loose
forward.
 We try and find out what went wrong
with his handling skills.  
" It is un-excusable for top players to drop catches, but it just show again that basic skills is most important
and must be worked on nearly every practice. It is interesting that the Cheetahs is one of the Super 14c
teams with no recognised skills coach and it really shows because the are the team with the most
handling errors."

    Guidelines for correctly catching a pass
    1) Hands must be stretched towards the ball with fingers pointing upwards.
    2) Ball must be catch away from the body so that ball can be played
    immediately again.
    3) Coaches must always tell their players to attack the ball and if they do
    that they will seldom dropped a catch..
