| The technique: The basic skill of Chip Kick |
| The grip on the ball for the chip kick. (The ball can lean forwards or backwards - it make no difference to the kick.) |
| The player prepares for the chip kick. Look at his grip on the ball and how this player's choice is for the ball to lean forward. |
| His leg swings through with his toe pointed upwards to put some toll on the ball. |
| He lets the ball go. Look how the ball is pointing slightly forward. |

Note: The player kicks the ball with his toe pointing upwards, which enables him to get a higher flight on the ball |
