A passing drill, called "The two versus one passing drill". A great drill in which to practice players' passing and decision
making skills.
" This is an excellent drill in which to practice players passing skills. It also teaches players how to draw their man and very
important, in this drill they can practice their dummy passingskills. "

We look at the "Two versus One Passing Drill"
The 2nd attacker (Circle) is now in
the open
He draws the defender (circle) and
passes to the 2nd attacker
The ball is being passed to the 1st
attacker
This Video Clip shows how the 1st
attacker draws the defender and
then passes a flat pass to the 2nd
attacker.
This Video Clip shows how the 1st
attacker sells a dummy pass to
defender and then beat him on the
inside
Running & Passing lines of Drill
Objective:
The object is to practice effective passing
and running into space
Key coaching points:
• Player with the ball should run at speed to commit the
defender. If there is no defender approaching, the ball carrier
should continue running.
• As the defender approaches the ball carrier must run at the
defender and  the pass should be timed to allow B to score.
Exercise / Drill explanation:
1. Player A receives a pass from the outside
player and runs forward at pace and commits
the defender to create an overlap for B.
2. Initially the defender C marks A only.
3. When technique improves the defender
can move towards player A or B.
4. As a progression the defenders may form
a single line up the field about 10m apart.
