A contact skills drill, we call the "Rucking drill", in which players can practice their rucking techniques and players can also
learn how to attack in pockets.
"This is an excellent drill in which players can practice their rucking techniques. It is important for players to learn how to ruck
effectively in order to get quick ball. Players can also use this drill to learn how to attack in pockets "

Description of the Drill
1. The players form two pockets and on the
signal of the coach the scrumhalf passes the
ball to the first player on the right hand side, who
drives into the first contact shield, goes down
and place the ball, while the rest of the players in
the pocket do the rucking.
2. The scrumhalf picks up the ruck ball and
passes to the first player on the left hand side
who proceeds with the rucking proses by rucking
at their first contact shield.
Advantage of the Drill
Coaches must make sure that the players ruck
behind the ball in order to get a quick ball.
