| Modern scrums - Many coaches asked us to show them again the All Black hit in the scrums, which we call "the hit from the top". |
| " I say again that I think the hit is illegal, because the laws say first crouch and then hit. The All Blacks get an advantage , because they crouch and hit at the last moment. It is like a 100m start, the longer you are in your blocks the slower you get away. " - Jan Oberholzer |
| Lets look at the hit |
| The All Blacks are making ready to go down, while the Springboks are already in the crouching position. Look at the tension in the Boks's front-row with their clenched fists and there is no way they can get out of their blocks fast enough. |
