WEEK 3: Line-outs - The forgotten art of driving round
the front of the line-out still works, but with a variation.
Description of play:
1) Throw the ball in the line-out at No. 4. The line-out must not be more than 15m from the try-line.
2) After the jumper catches the ball, No. 6 takes the ball from him and the players form the rolling mall and start
moving forward, with No. 7 staying out of the ruck.
3) No. 6 passes to No. 7 who drives round the front and score.

Advantage of the play:
The opposition thinks that it is the usual rolling maul near the try-line and they only defend the rolling maul
and the open side of the rolling maul.
The ball can be moved nearer to the try-line with the maul so that the driving player can uses his momentum
to score.
NOTE: It will take about 30sec.
