Line-outs -  We show coaches how to effectively
sacked the opposition jumper to stop the line-out
maul
. We look at two examples in the South
Africa/New Zealand test in Durban on 23-06-07.
"  Sacking of the line-out jumper is one of the three methods available
to stop a line-out maul forming near your own tryline. The timing of the
sacking is very important. "

The three recognised methods of stopping the line-out maul:
    1) Counter mauling or wedging the rolling maul i.e. pushing the
maul backwards or stopping the momentum of the maul.
    2) Aggressively targeting individual players in the front row of
the maul i.e. taking out the important front players out of the
maul to open up the player with the ball at the back.
    3) Sacking of the line-out jumper i.e. turn the line-out into a ruck
    situation.
The rugby laws on sacking
In short the law says that a line-out jumper can be sacked
