Coaching Lessons This week "Catching the high ball"
|
Even in the worst conditions players must have the confidence to catch the high ball and we aims to give
your players the confidence and the skills to do just that.
Catching a high kick is not one of the easiest basic rugby skills and unlike many other skills in rugby
which are purely based on instinct and reactions, players have a lot of time to see the a high ball coming,
which leads to mistakes being made.
We shall be starting with the three basic skills, explaining the basic techniques and then we shall give
our coaches some drills in which they can use to perfect these skills.
